At this point you will notice that each of the eyewitnesses saw and heard various things. I believe all of this happened – but we won't know the exact order of events because each observer was under extreme stress and trauma and doesn't remember clearly.
We are going to jump around a bit in the Scriptures – but I promise you, we'll cover every verse – just possibly out of order!

This was a drink that would ease the pain a little. Jesus refused it. Do you remember that He had told His disciples that He would not drink the fruit of the vine again until God's Kingdom was established? (Matthew 26:29)
Now, did you know that God had also predicted this type of death for His Son more than 1000 years before it happened.

King David wrote this Psalm long before crucifixion was invented. The Greeks were the first to use crucifixion in the 1st century B.C. Yet, this Psalm perfectly describes the torture that Jesus had to endure.
We serve a mighty God who is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent.
These 3 characteristics of God are fundamentally important to your understanding of God. He is Omnipotent: all powerful. He is Omniscient: all knowing, and He is Omnipresent: present everywhere at the same time and past, present, and future. He is not time linear like us!
