Dear Explorer,
Our first question was: What do I need to do to be in a right relationship with Jesus? We discovered that the answer was to have a spiritual birth where Jesus comes into our empty core.
Then the second question is obviously: How do I fill my empty core with Jesus?
Re-Read John 4:10
What do you think Jesus would say that you need to do if you want to receive Living Water at the core of your being instead of that empty void?
What does Jesus say will happen if you simply ask?
He will replace your emptiness with His Living Water.
Now, the Living Water He's talking about is the Holy Spirit – the same Holy Spirit that resided inside of Jesus. Wow! That's big!
If you will simply ask Jesus to replace your emptiness and fill it with Himself – your life will be transformed, changed from head to toe! And God forgives you for all the stuff that you did as a result of your SELF being in control. So, He forgives you of your sins and fills you with Himself!
This is the Spiritual Birth, the new birth that Jesus talked about with Nicodemus.
It's really that simple.
Here's the picture of the new you, if you decide to ask for this Living Water.
You've still got the same physical BODY you had before you asked. You've still got the same SELF. But instead of an empty God-shaped vacuum inside of you, you are filled with Jesus (in the form of the Holy Spirit). Immediately Jesus begins giving directions to your SELF from the core or control center of your life.
In my book, Transformed!, you'll find a lot more information about this transformation and what it looks and feels like.
And as always – if you have questions, please contact me through this website.
If you are not ready to invite Jesus into your core, that's okay. Keep reading and increase your understanding. He loves you and wants you to know the truth. Remember that Nicodemus left and did not make this decision to invite Jesus in until sometime later. That's okay. I believe the disciples were also following Jesus for quite a while without inviting Him in, but we'll talk more about that later. I hope you'll continue with the study of Jesus' life and keep your eyes and ears open to what God might want to show you.
For those of you who have already invited Jesus into your God-shaped vacuum, would you please pray for those who are doing this study and hearing this for the first time. Pray for them to understand and be able to make this important decision concerning Jesus.
In His service, dale
