Read John 17:24-26
We've spent a lot of time on this "High Priestly" prayer of Jesus. It is so beautiful, and it is for you and me! In His role as our great High Priest, Jesus prayed for His followers and I believe that He continues that role in Heaven today. I believe that Jesus is ever interceding (praying) for us even as Satan accuses us.

Note that John 17:24 states clearly that Jesus was in Heaven as God's Son long before He came to earth in a human body. The Scripture teaches that He was involved in the creation and is eternal (having no beginning and no end).
As we approach the ending to this powerful prayer, I think it is appropriate that Jesus reminds us that our end goal is Heaven with Him. Regardless of where Heaven is or what Heaven is like - we are promised (if we have invited Him into our empty spot) that we will be with Jesus and we'll enjoy His Presence and His glory for the rest of eternity -- which is forever and ever and ever.
I was reading an article the other day that indicated that most followers of Jesus think of Heaven as a quiet, stale, place of eternal rest (that sounds really good at times!). The writer was challenging us to be child-like in our dreams of Heaven. It will be more beautiful, more wonderful, more exciting than anything we can imagine. If this world with all its breath-taking scenery and complicated intricacies was created in 7 days -- just think -- over 2000 years ago Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2 NASB)!
I'm excited about Heaven!
What do you imagine Heaven to be like?
My dreams would include lots of music, great, great, music of all flavors; lots of good food with no calories; perfect health - no aches and pains or fatigue; and an abundant supply of friends to fellowship and party with!
But most of all, Jesus, my Savior and Lord will be there -- the One who died for me so that I could enjoy forever being with Him. That will be Heaven!
