When did Jesus say that things were going to happen?
And what did He say would happen to the disciples?
What did Peter say he would do when everyone else failed?
What did Jesus tell him?
And what did all the disciples reply to Jesus?
What important information does He give the disciples about where they should meet Him after the resurrection?
Did you catch that? Think about it.
Andy Stanley often says, “If a man can predict his death, and his resurrection, and pull it off – then I want to hear what He has to say!”
You see, God KNOWS what will happen even before it happens. We've talked before that I don't believe He causes it to happen (pre-determination), but that He knows everything from the beginning to the end (foreknowledge). What that says to me is that I can trust Him to know what is best for me.
When I don't know how best to deal with a problem, when I don't know which ministry to become involved with, when I don't know where to start; He already knows what is best. If I'll let Him guide me, He will guide me to the very best outcome.
Learning to trust Him completely and to seek His input is the goal.
