Dear Explorer,
Read Luke 10:1-11
So, Jesus sends out 70 disciples two-by-two and gave them detailed instructions. These instructions should look familiar to you. They are very similar to the instructions given to the apostles for their “mission trip”.
The first instruction is found in Luke 10:2. What is it?
Pray for more workers! Pray for people who are followers of Jesus to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit to help others find Jesus and tell them how to fill their God-shaped vacuum.
We've talked about wolves among the sheep before, but we are to move forward with peace and gentleness – fully trusting our Shepherd.
What do you think is the meaning of Luke 10:4?
I believe it is to not get distracted from your purpose and don't pack extra stuff. Let God provide day by day for your needs.
Luke 10:5-7 says to stay at the first place offered to you and don't offend your host by looking for better accommodations!
What is the purpose of this mission trip (Luke 10:9)?
If you are not welcomed, what should you do (Luke 10:10-11)?
Read Luke 10:16
Jesus says that if the people listen to the disciples, they are listening to Him. But if they reject the disciples, they are not only rejecting Him (Jesus) but also God Who sent Him.
“God has come near to you.” He's only a prayer away. This, too, is our message to a hurting world. He's real! He's accessible! He loves you and He's near.
In His service, dale
